Re: Looking for a walking buddy

Hi,

I have been camping on Skye in late March before and had some wonderful hill days. Will be in touch nearer the time, but if you have plans before that just let me know.

Cheers,
Debbie

Re: The Southern Uplands Way

Hi,

I live in the Galloway Forest and the Southern Upland Way is very close to me. Did you manage to complete it or some of it?

Cheers,
Debbie

Re: Looking for a walking buddy

Hi,

I am interested to meet up at some point as love camping and am happy to walk some Corbetts. Wouldn't call myself an oldy though.😁 I normally take my camera and a wee dog.

I live in the Galloway Forest but venture up to Skye quite a few times each year.

Cheers,
Debbie

Re: Mullach na Dheiragain: expectations from Elchaig

Hi, lovely descriptive account and a wonderful hill day! I was wondering about doing this hill from that direction but walking in, but a little concerned about the calving cows as I normally take one of my dogs...

Re: KILLIN AREA 10th - 14th July

Hi Ron, Yes, I have completed those two you mentioned. You can see the Munros that I have completed by clicking on my Munros on my profile, so if you see any others that you would prefer to do let me know. Assuming I can sort my other dog out I should be flexible on days for that week, and may trave...

Re: KILLIN AREA 10th - 14th July

Hi Ron, There's a possibility I might be able to join you on the Thursday - I have completed the other Munros that you mentioned. It all depends if my dog minder is free to look after one of my dogs ( I have a Border Terrier and a Border Terrier x Poodle) as it will be easier with just the one. That...

Re: Southern Munros or further afield from 11 th August

Hi Simon, Thanks for getting in touch. Not sure about the 16th just yet, but will check out the Munros you listed - some of them I have done, but am sure we can link up for the others. Need to get my books/maps out - have just moved so finding everything is a problem! Will get back to you very soon,...

Southern Munros or further afield from 11 th August

Hi there, Is there anyone I can link up with who is free around 11 August through till the weekend for some munro bagging either in the Southern Highlands or further afield. I am thinking of coming up with my wee tent and my wee dog ( he has completed 6 this year), for some more munro bagging to fee...

Re: Me and my left knee say 'Hello'

Hi, yes its very frustrating I have knee problems but since I started using a walking pole and a good knee support it has really helped. I also go to the gym and strengthen the supporting muscles which is important too.

Re: Hello from down south..

Yes, regards midges that was what I was hoping, and its a good point about the shortened days, so early September would be slightly better ( I've just checked the sunset times, so thanks for reminding me, there's about an hour difference between beginning and end of month). I need to get my head dow...

Re: Hello from down south..

Thanks Gill, will have a more serious think about dates and get back to you. I hope to come up to the Highlands for 2 weeks, it just depends whether its the first 2 weeks of September or the last...I plan to either camp ( depending on midgie numbers!) or stay at Youth Hostels. Will also have a more ...

Hello from down south..

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site, but am hoping to link up with keen munroist during September. I'm slightly addicted to bagging munros but my few mountain walking friends either arent fit enough at the moment or arent as keen as me! So it would be great to find some soul mates I can join to do a f...
