Re: The One and Only Ladhar Bheinn

Enjoyed your report very much, but what a palaver you all had getting there  just as well the Old Forge was nearby so you could all recover.
Loved the photos of Loch Hourn. I know for a fact I’ll never find myself up there so I enjoyed the “virtual” view. Well done :D

Re: Weasels' Cape Wrath Trail Adventure -Part Two

Absolutely fantastic, well done to both of you    I’ve only skimmed over the photos, I’ll read the text properly when I’m sitting in the sun with my book. It’s just amazing how easily you walked that route and I would not have been surprised if you had walked all the way back again...

Re: West Highland Way in Fabulous Weather

Absolutely fabulous, both the report and the walk. Just amazing to think of someone doing that in their 80’s. I think your husband would have wanted you to carry on the walking and I hope you continue to do so 😊

Re: Walking While "ill"

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. He was quite a guy and I just love his wonderful spirit and the way he continued to get out there in spite of his medical problems.
Love to you, I hope you continue to walk the hills and they bring you solace 💐

Re: So how busy was it?
There’s plenty parking in nearby Kincardine o’Neil and a great walk to the falls following the deeside way
Yes, that’s true, but you need to tell all the people parking on the roads and in the farmers field.

Re: So how busy was it?

Saturday 24 April, Clachnaben car park plus all the surrounding lay-bys and parking spots were full by mid morning. By 6pm the car park was empty, so that might be a good time for anyone who wants a quiet walk. The Falls of Dess, which only has parking for about 3 cars, had 15 cars parked along the ...

Re: Access restriction due to filming
Do they close the paths past the castle when there are weddings on? That would annoy me a bit, it's not as if they're taking photos out on the road, seems that would just be so the guests don't have to watch me puffing away on my bike... i honestly don’t know if they close ...

Re: Access restriction due to filming

Dalmeny estate is my favourite walking route. It’s private land although the owners are very generous in allowing walkers and cyclists access. They also own Cramond Island. I’ve also been turned back because the owners have closed the route for something but there are so many paths it’s easy to stay...

Re: Long distance with toddler

Edinburgh to Glasgow via the Union Canal would be a great walk with a buggy because the paths are all good quality and it’s on the flat! It’s not much of a long distance walk but you could add to it ie by walking the water of leith in edinburgh then meet up with the canal. When you get to Falkirk yo...
