Yes I too uttered those same expletives, and have done numerous times. Isn't it amazing how often we get " caught out " no matter how many walk reports we read and how many books/guides we peruse and how many photos we pour over!

good point from Scottishscript! We all want a camera that will take a good photo, maybe even a great one! but the point about the Scottish weather is a valid one! one point to consider , and I have not seen it in any spec for a camera ( yet! ) is the temperature range it will operate in! Quite annoy...

Great report Kev! and absolutely stunning photos! although descriptive photos is probably a better term as you can see and possibly feel the scare factor of the descents and ascents.I done ( and it done me!) the RoS last October when conditions were blustery to say the least! cracking day you got Stuart! with the photos to match as well. done these two on the 15th January this year. On my final ascent to Stob Ban I was priviledged to meet the same gentleman ( Mr. Iain Thomson ) who also added me to his list of statistics? along with the obligitory photos! 15-01-2012 021....

Cracking photo's meatball!!!!!!!!! I am Sooooooooooo jealous! Done these two from the Lawers centre about a year and a half ago with ma wee boy , was supposed to be good weather? Clag rolled in once we were a short distance up and stayed until we were heading back to the lawers car park. nuff said!
