Re: Beinn Fhionnlaidh - My Last Munro In Dresses (Glen Etive

We started from Etive due to a lack of accommodation on the Creran side, We did see one pair about 50M into the descent as we arrived on the summit, heading back down the Creran side.

Wonder if that one should be the 1st munro of a 2nd round in a dress - could start a new trend ;-)

Re: Beinn Fhionnlaidh - My Last Munro In Dresses (Glen Etive

Cheers for the comments, folks,

Re lippy: I had a bright red one, same shade as the dress with me, but forgot all about it - also forgot about the daft cap on the trig point - to busy drinking!

Re: Midges 2017

Was down Glen Etive this weekend gone - they were as bad as I have ever seen them, gathered around the hut, and at you on the hill within 15 seconds of stopping. Taking a leak was tricky. Usually midgey bites last a day on me, but three days later and my legs (among other parts) are still plastered!...

Beinn Fhionnlaidh - My Last Munro In Dresses (Glen Etive)

Sat 3rd June was the date for my Last Munro, wanting to do something different and being mildly odd, I decided that it was a hill best done while wearing a dress. I managed to recruit a total of 28 folks to do the hill with me, mostly members of the Ochils Mountaineering Club (Stirling). A couple of...

Red Patagonia Down Jkt in Dry Bag CMD Arete

Hi On the CMD Arete on Sunday 26th March, my (ball shaped) Red Patagonia Down Jacket stuffed into a grey/black dry bag escaped. I was clockwise on CMD Arete, lost it at start of the Arete. It was bouncing down, suspect it got quite a way down if not all the way down. After completing Nevis I marched...

Re: Current snow conditions

Snow down to relatively low levels again. Should stick around into/beyond the weekend given forecast temps.

See Ben More Webcam - was bare yesterday - not allowed to post links to this as per mod policy.
