I was up at Ben Lawers today at 7.30 a.m. to do the circuit.There was a sign in the car park saying walkers can use it for £5 payable at the bar. Obviously it wasn't open then but I went in at 3 when I got back and paid my £5. The barmaid was very pleasant and even gave me a bowl of water for my dog...

I was up there 4 weeks ago with my 2 Labradors and it was no bother for them. The fence has a stile but luckily there's a hole right beside it. Be aware there are loads of sheep on the hill and on the road back to the car park

I found a pair of glasses today 20/06 on the descent from Carn Gorm.

I completed the WHW last April with my then 14 year old son and it was an absolute dream 7 days. I had considered camping and carrying my own gear but quickly discounted that and used the bag transfer service. The best £40 I spent.
