tinkers loch
Have not been out in a while so just went out with the dog for a wee warm up. Nothing too serious, or so I though. Headed up to a little hill loch called "tinkers loch". It sits north of loch chon and south of loch katerine. It is a walk of about 2 miles and 1 mile around the loch, the loc...

Re: oban bothy
Aye, it was a bit of slog on the return journey. We tried to hug the shore for most of the way back and a good few stops. We returned on the Monday but if we were to head out on the sat or sun there would have been no chance we would have made it due to the wind, so there is a chance of getting stuc...

Not done much this year due to work so just posting a video slid show that I done last year. We canoed from the west shore of loch morar to oban bothy. Didn't do any hills, just a bit of exploring about the place. A great relaxing place

Re: Large Cats in Scotland?
I recently put a post on with a few pictures of what I thought was some kind of cat foot prints. Two people got back to me saying it was a dog, fox or badger. The sighting was 3 miles south of cape wrath light house, very isolated. Do you get dogs, foxes and badgers up there? I have been walking up ...

Re: By paddle across Morar and Arkaig - how not to do it
tuff looking adventure. I done oban bothy in a proper kayak, wouldn't even tackle it in one of those inflatables. Way to dangerous in a wind, as you found out the hard way. anyhow, better than stuck inn doors..lol
