Great to see at Wilfrid's grappenhall again, backdrop to my growing up in the 70s and 80s, those cobbles were murder in a bikes tyres as I rushed up to the church on a Sunday morning for the 8 am servuce :D

Thanks Chris Mac for your kind words and encouragement. we are planning a return and allow me to explore further north and west on the island and yes did enjoy some cheese and have a bottle of arran's finest 10 year old to sample. i agree, and excellent article, made me realise that is what i love about maps and the time i used to spend pouring over them looking at paths, hills and tracing old routes, that was before the internet and forums, facebook et al

Can definitely recommend you finishing your walk by heading to London on the Caldeonian sleeper train. It all depends whether you are going full wild and carrying your tent and equipment and heading out being self sufficient. or touring using Bed and Breakfasts and hotels and day walking to and from...

got as far as day 6 and enjoying the vlogs,
thanks for taking the trouble to film and edit them.

and echo the comment above I would get seriously despondent backtracking all the time to get the walk past shots especially carrying all my gear.

I ahd the same a few years back walking the Pennine way, the pub dog from the Tan hill in followed me across Sleighthome moor and in the end I had to ring the pub and they came to collect ot from near the crossing with the A66, they said it was a common occurence, you do feel responsible but as well...
