The Mell Circuit - Glen Finglas

Training for the WHW... A long walk with real isolation. Tender legs afterwards.
Slightly longer and more ascent than expected but a good full day walking. 7hrs 22min from start to finish.

Goat Fell

Great day out with Ross. Weather stayed dry but no views after 400m.
Tired legs on the march back to the ferry, need to get the hill legs back on!

Ben Vane

Last chance to take Ross out on the hills before school started back. Weather was terrible, no views all day, not another soul on the hill. Couldn't find waterproof trousers before I left so was soaked from the waist down. Despite all that still had a great day and Ross seemed to enjoy it as well. O...

Re: Ben Chonzie by the bus-full

it's sad that things like childrens wards and care for war veterans is so reliant on charitable contributions though. It sure is, Jester... Having said that, it is a very worthwhile way to get people together, as you said... we all had a great day, and you don't mind giving a little bit back when s...

Re: Ben Chonzie by the bus-full

Well done everyone, looks like you all had a great day and some new baggers in the making as well :D Thanks Johnny, there have been some sore pins hobbling around the last few days but I hope it doesn't put anyone off. Hi I might have been the person that took the group photo at the summit Les Chee...

Re: The 10 Mamores in a day - a walk for mental unstable ;-)

Excellent! Thanks for sharing.

I've been planning a jaunt round the Ring of Steall for some time but have been waiting for the perfect weather... This is tempting!

Ben Chonzie by the bus-full

It's been a while since my last report but I have been quite busy on the hills over the summer months (by my own standards). This has been, in the main, due to my brother (BrianG81) deciding to raise some money for Yorkhill Children's Foundation. This decision was made after my niece Erin (Brian's d...

Buachaille Etive Beag

Set out to tackle the Ring of Steall but the weather put us off and we opted to do the wee Buachaille.
Cold and wet but surprisingly short and quite easy walk. (possibly due to our last pursuit being so grand).
