Ben Macdui via Carn a'Mhaim
Fantastic walk up and over Carn a'Mhaim to ascend Ben Macdui and then descend towards Hutchinson Memorial Bothy and through Glen Derry. Luckily rain abated after first hour...fairly windy on both tops, as expected but worthwhile for the views and sheer exhilaration...especially walking along Carn a'...

Thanks to all for advice re purchase of boots.
I managed to buy pair of Meindl Burma Pro. Thus far I have completed 4 walks and suffered no more bruising to my toenails

Boots
Hello folks I am new to this site and would appreciate any advice re boots. Denny (Jack Russell) and I have now completed 11 Munros. Fortunately her paws are ok, but my boots are dead. Mayar and Driesh
Great walk through the glen with Denny dog, leading the way (as usual). Lovely views back down the glen after our ascent near the waterfall. Lots of wildlife on view, including grouse, phtarmigans, stoats and hares but sadly on this ocassion...no eagles. Hopefully next time? Nice weather on Mayar pl...

Broad Cairn and Bannoch
Afternoon walk on Sunday 29th June 2014. Alex, Denny (Jack Russell/5 Munro veteran), and I set off from Loch Muick car park and headed up Little Craig towards Broad Cairn ascent. Just a quick note to say thanks to the folk I met at Bob Scott's bothy and for the advice re ascent of Ben Macdui. Also to the 4 people I met on Macdui re advice on route to Hutchison bothy...thanks to all.
