Re: 3 Bros, a Ciste and a Wee Cor....

Another stunning report DB. HD video on your TZ10 super clear - looking to upgrade my TZ6 soon - if my kids stop bleeding dry! Good patches of weather always a bonus - I was on Stob Binnien on same day - couldn't see my boots all day! Well done - hope to get there in summer - lovely mountain range. ...

Lucky guys!!
Fantastic conditions and great shots - mobiles have great cameras nowadays - couldn't fail with these views.

Passed these hills many times on the way to Skye - on my to do list this year - hopefully wild camp on the tops of these gorgeous buggers!

Cheers for the report

Re: Stob Ban - Grey Corries

Thanks for the comments guys. Jesus Alan, that minister scared the living daylights out of me when I first saw it! Then I realised it was just one of your group who'd had a heavy session the night before! Great to see that wee bothy again, and Sgurr Innse with snow on. One of my favourite Corb...

ChrisW wrote:Great report and pics...but no tea break in the bothy

Yes, we had a quick drink and bite to eat in the bothy before ascending.

One of the party thought the mouse droppings on the bothy table were chocolate covered raisins - soon realised!!!

Re: Winter wild-camp 600 meters up in the Glyders

Great report and photos.
Wild camping in December - that hardcore.
Hope to give the high altitude camping a go this year.
Sunsets and sunrises are the aims!
All gear bought - going to wait till daylight extends a little - like April ish.

Stob Ban - Grey Corries

Left Perth, two cars full of eager walkers as our last planned walk was cancelled. Weather forecast not promising, however no prolonged rain/snow and not too much wind. We quickly reached the carved figure of the minister. P1060139.JPG The path to the bothy was good underfoot and made progress easy ...

Re: Another Orchy Double - Dorain & Dothaidh

You seem to always get the best of the weather DB - photos are cracking and great descriptive report.
Out at Spean Bridge, near Grey Corries on same day- weather not as good.
I need to follow where you're going.

Re: Cruachan - quite nice!

As I was walking to work this morning in Perth, the sky was blue, not a cloud, thought it would be a perfect day for the hills.
It sure was - looks great , fab photos - another jealous hill walker.

Bridge of Orchy - snow storms

After looking at Dooterbang's Trip Report, decided on these two Bridge of Orchy hills. Weather report not too good, but aint no fair weather walker - first wrong decision. Left Perth with Jelly around 7:30am, skies clears and looking good. Road conditions good, even track to Inverornan Hotel fine. P...
