Evening,
im doing the merrick from loch trool on thursday with my club, any locals share any info about weather/snow lying etc, not much of a winter walker yet, cheers guys

Did you guys come in from denny? i tried to come up from lennoxtown on wed but the crow road was shut, done this hill twice before and wed was a great day, shame, ended up doing the whangie

Started at 6pm from Ballimore, weather was great, lovely views, not too boggy, will do more evening walks, really

Ben Lomond

Left sunny Drumchapel after 5 am, lovely morning, booted up and away for 5.55am, nice views when out of the forest, after the last gate, enter the clag, all the way to the summit, no views, pity as i was on it myself, back down and views ben 18.JPG open up again halfway down, passed about 15 people ...

Hi Delberto,

Done stob dearg and Stob na Broige today, weather was not too bad, bit of walk along the ridge, so you were right to call it a day, 2 other tops before Stob na Broige, 7 hours including a few stops, well worth going back another time, got nice views when the clag cleared, cheers Scotty.

hi all,

i climbed 3 grahams recently but they are not on this sites list = innerdowie, whitewhisp and tarmangie in the ochills,

can anyone explain this?

I did the W H W this year, what a great time we had, thinking of doing the great glen way at some point, also low level walks are good as you had put in your post.

Ben Bowie

walked up the track on the other side of the road near Daligan Farm
got to the summit 35 mins (no cairn)
discovered that it is a clearing in the forest so no veiws :shock:
same track on return

hi david, like you i have time off during the week ( 4 on 4 off) thats my shifts, also bagging small hills then possibly on to munros etc, plenty of hills near glasgow to get the fitness up, i am starting the w h w on the 30th of april and after that would meet up with you as im quite near glasgow (...
