France GR5

Hi

Can anyone suggest an app for walking in France? In September I'm walking for a month along the GR5 and variations.

I'm not a great fan of Outdoor Active and I think it's expensive. I also can't find an app that uses Open Maps that has foot paths marked on.

thanks Laura

Re: Sgurr Mor river Kingie crossing

I have 2 walks left to complete my Munroes. So this might well be my final one. Exciting. Good luck with the remaining hills! If you have any thoughts about doing the Corbetts, make sure you do Sgurr an Fhuarain as well while you are there (and if you have the energy/weather, you can make a good ro...

Re: Seana Bhràigh

I drove to the school house last September and all was fine. Road there much better than some walk reports suggest.

Sgurr Mor river Kingie crossing

Hi

I'm wondering about the river crossing in Glen Kingie to access Sgurr Mor. Can anyone give me a heads up about this. With recent rainy weather would it need a couple of dry days to make the crossing Ok. Just not sure if it is one of those rivers that goes up and down quickly or slowly.

cheers

Thanks that's useful to know. L

Beinn Chabhair dogs

Hiya

Could anyone tell me if the deer fence stiles are OK for dogs? I have a lab who is reasonably agile but no spring chicken.

Re: Where will you be going?

Got really lucky and the cottage on the Corrour Estate we booked for July 4th week is happening. I got the news and was literally jumping up and down with excitement.

Good luck to everyone with your plans.

Picos de Europa

Hi

My friend and I have 5 days walking in the Picos. Has anyone got a suggestion for a good place to be based - we don't want to hire a car. We are both up for quite challenging walks.

thanks
