Re: New Munrosbagger from Canada !

Hello, I am sure you will enjoy our Scottish Hills, my favourites are Slioch at Loch Maree and Blaven on Skye ( and they do get fantastic weather there). For me these are no bad ones just some are better than others.
Enjoy your time here.

Re: G P S

Hi, I don't know if you have bought a GPS yet, but my recommendation is Garmin. I have a 64S which I find really good. I have tried Satmap ,but I did not rate it. Best of luck.

Hi Mike again, (Old Boy) Anyone interested in joining up with an old guy (55)for a walk up Strath Farrar Munro's. Not a race! just a steady pace, plenty of tea breaks along the way. I'm fairly fit, but a bit inexperienced, can't read a map or use a compass, don't have Sat -nav, but I have 2 big flas...

Old Boy

Hello,
I'm new to this game, (Munro Bagging).Think your site is excellent, first class. Tried the Strath Farrar route on Saturday 15th , failed miserably, the weather at the top was atrocious. I also think I'm wee bit to old. Completed one. Think I'll try it the opposite way the next time.
