Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a'Chreachain July 2020

#175 Beinn Achaladair #176 Beinn a'Chrachain With Sylwia and Ryan - Ryan's first 2 Munros! We went anti-clockwise so we'd only get wet feet at the end, wading through the river. Ryan found it tough but enjoyable. Some slight rain but nothing bad - we were very lucky with the weather! A great day. Am...

Stob Coire an Laoigh #173

Went up in the car with Sylwia, and met Kev and Alan there. Very sunny - they were struggling! But a great day in the mountains. Very tiring as first Munros since March!

Sgurr Choinnich and Sgurr a'Chaorachain, March 2020

#170 Sgurr Choinnich #171 Sgurr a'Chaorachain Just me - weather was ok when I set out but there was some rain and conditions higher up were horrendous. Needed mid-layer jacket at times (very rare for me). Felt very tired, possibly because this was my first hike in a while due to an injury to my left...

Beinn Mheadhoin, February 2020

#169 Me and Shari (from Toastmasters) - her first Munro! A very tough walk, in which Shari slipped crossing a river and dislocated her shoulder! It popped back in and she was happy to carry on (!!!). Stopped at HMH bothy on the way there and back. It was dark on the way back so head torches all the ...

Beinn Eunaich and Beinn a'Chochuill February 2020

Beinn Eunaich #167, Beinn a'Chochuill #168 Just me and Sylwia. Weather fine lower down but totally severe wind and hail up on summits. But we persevered and did it! We went anti-clockwise to give us the option to go on to Sron an Isean and then Stob Daimh if possible but in those conditions we decid...

Tom a’Choinich and Toll Creagach, January 2020

#164 and #165 Set off in overcast snowy conditions, but after 2 hours (at around 700m) the sun broke through and was there most of the time. Extremely windy - the windiest I’ve been in I think. Definitely needed the ski goggles!

Meall Glas, December 2019

#162 Just by myself. Had planned on doing the 2 Munros but the conditions were brutal so turned back after Meall Glas - even getting there was an achievement! Had ice building up on my jacket, ski goggles on, often could only see my hands. Thank goodness for the GPS. Had ice building up on that too ...

Fusherfield Mountains (East 4)

Very, very tiring! My first bothy experience (Shenavall), just me on my own.
Only managed the first 4 summits before running out of daylight. Glad I went though - and I'll just have to go back and do the other 2 another time :-)

Buachaille Etive Beag, October 2019

156 and 157
With Didia - her first 2 Munros! We were lucky with the weather - hardly any wind, and good views. Not sunny or blue sky but very atmospheric. Didia loved it :-)
Relatively easy hike - ideal for first Munro experience.

Bidean nam Bian and Stob Coire Sgreamhach September 2019

#154 and 155 Met Kev and Alan at 6:15am at the Charwood. We drove up but got stuck in a traffic jam for 40 minutes between Crianlarich and Tyndrum! Weather was changeable - there was a bit of rain on the way up to Stob Coire nan Lochan, but it eased off by the time we got to Bidean nam Biam, and the...
