Re: MSR HUBBA NX and MSR ELIXIR 1 TENT

The MSR HUBBA NX the flysheet does not reach all the way to the ground and the inner has quite a lot of mesh so can be draughty, it is supposed to be a 3 season tent, never used it in winter but would use my more robust 4 season tent.

Depending on your time restraints you could get a Citylink coach to Cluanie Inn from Fort William and use the paths in the glens to get to Kinloch Hourn. Once time i did walk from Cluanie Inn and camped near Allbeithe then went over Am Bathaich into the glen to pick up the path to Kinloch Hourn and ...

Re: South side of Loch Mullardoch

Going by OS 1:25, mapping you have about 5km of forest from the dam then wet boggy ground not unless you can follow the shoreline.

Re: Bhran Cottage

The stalkers path from Bhran Cottage is fine it is only higher up that it becomes a boggy mess and from the summit to Dalwhinnie it is ok and on a good track for most of the route.

The bridge over the River South Esk that leads to Braedownie is fine, we used this part of the route to access Winter Corrie.

Re: The North Face

Ethnic minorities are welcome on our hills and always have been. Too many people forget the simple fact that many of them aren't interested in the hills but morons like The North Face misinterpret data and cry racism. All The North Face have managed to do is create an issue by making people believe...

Re: Feedback requested: 3-day route Cairngorms

From Corrour Bothy you can take the path that leads to the Lairig Ghru just past the Clach nan Taillear Stone is a small cairn which is the start of a very faint path that leads to the bealach between Carn a'Mhaim and Ben Macdui, it is very hard to notice the cairn and the path up.
