Ben Vorlich by Danny and Kylie Munro

This was the wettest climb yet .We drove up very early and parked on the side of the road just near the gate that leads to the tarmac road that takes you between Vorlich and Vane with the dam in front of us . We couldn't find the cairn that marks the start on the path so we walked about 200 m furthe...

Vane by Danny & Kylie Munro

The weather could not have been more beautiful as we set off to do our 3rd Arrochar Alp , we were undecided on whether to do Vane or Vorlich so we made our way there and pondered as we drove through the the wonderfully clear Lomond valley . When we started to make our way up the tarmac road that mak...

Shame about the cloud on the summit. You turned it into a nice loop instead of just up and down. :D With a tiny bit more effort you could have bagged the corbet also but well done. :D
Thanks monty , yes we should have planned our descent better , we live and learn .

Beinn Ime from The Butterbridge

Sarting at the Butterbridge the day was warm with high cloud which would decend as it went on . We made our way up the fence staying off the beatin track untill we jumped the fence and headed to the ridge to our left looking for some hand work on the outcrops that litter this side of Ime .The Farmer...

Re: Beinn Narnain

Like the helicopter photo :) . I've been in and around the Cobbler a few times on misty days and been concerned about how easy it is to get a bit lost-way there (given that it is sooooooooooo popular). Thank you for your post , we are just new to this Munro thing but are enjoying it and hope to bag...
