Re: Cat Bells at last

I think this is a great wee hill. It was the first real hill that my mum and dad took me up. I was about five years old. A couple of years ago I took my own two kids up it and they loved it. Munros they are not too keen on - too long away from Wifi!

This is my favourite mountain in Scotland and the West Gully is a great little route. Myself and Hugh O'Kane climbed this in 1992 or 93, great conditions. Next year I did Vixen Gully, that was wetter and less pleasant. Your report and pictures brought it all back. Thanks.

This looks brilliant, very alpine. I've done the Aonach Eagach in winter but this looks much more severe. Great video, will we be seeing more?

Like you this is only an hour and a half away from me but I keep heading north. Great report, I'll get there next year as I've only done Mam Tor and the associated edges in The Peak District.
