Beinn Narnain Ben Ime &The Cobbler

The car park at Arrochar was very busy with wardens hovering so first challenge was to find a space in town. Midgies were also prevalent at the start so I was glad I had put the trousers on! The girls had already made a start so myself Mike and Richard started the ascent at a reasonable pace to try ...

Ben Chonzie

We set off from Edinburgh at around 8am arriving at our destination at just after 10am. The car park was quite busy and after a quick turnaround started the ascent. The route was good underfoot although the clouds wind and rain half way up made conditions more difficult than we had been expecting. T...

Ben Vorlich & Stuc a'Chroin

Myself, Mike Jo & their dog plus Walter decided to ascend Ben Vorlich on a beautiful autumn day in September. The views on the way up were stunning although the wind had picked up and it was fairly chilly at the top.. We then decided to ascend Stuc a'Chroin which involved a brief descent before ...

Schiehallion

Having had a quiet Hogmanay the decision was made to make the most of hangover free day and climb Schiehallion. I had climbed this in the summer a number of years ago but was keen to try it again in the winter. Walter drove myself, Mike, Jo & Richard to the car park at the foot of the climb wher...

CMD Ben Nevis

A bit different from my previous Ben Nevis climb! Superb day for it and fantastic walking/scrambling up to the CMD, Arapet & eventually up to Ben Nevis. Views were so much better than earlier in the week and ended off a great few days walking. I will be back!!

Another day another Munro! My new climbing buddy Marina and I took on Sgurr a Mhaim today. Wind was up so time spent at the top was limited!

Stob Ban

Following Ben Nevis, Stuart decided his legs were not up for another climb! However I managed to meet a fellow climber in the Ben Nevis Inn the night before who was keen to explore- Marina from Santander. The climb was relatively straightforward although limited views from the top given the cloud co...

Ben Nevis

Well, being myself and Stuart's Birthday week we decided to climb Ben Nevis. Whilst Stuart has undertaken this climb before I am ashamed to admit this was my first attempt! We had arrived late Sunday and having checked out the forecast for the week and consulted the very helpful assistant in the Gle...

BIDEAN NAM BIAN

Great 5 1/2 hour walk. Views on top of Bidean nam Bian were limited due to cloud cover however stunning views from Stob Coire Sgreamhach (the 2nd munro) as well as on the ascent to Stob Coire nan Lochan towards Fort William and beyond. Cloud was moving fast and at the top of Stob Coire nan Lochan (w...
