2 day walk with bothy half way

Hi All,
My friends and I are looking for a 2 day munro bagging outing with a bothy stop more or less half way.
we are pretty flexible on location and at the moment looking at: Bidein a’choire Sheasgaich & Lurg Mhor
Just wonder if anyone has any other suggestions.

Thank you in advance!

2nd failed attempt at Lochnagar

Tried to do this one on Sunday 24/01/2016 but the first river crossing was impossible - it was far to deep, fast flowing and strong. We then decided to head back and ascend the descent path. The snow conditons just beyond the waterfall were awful and the going was tough! We made about 300m in 15 min...

Re: Knoydart loop from Inverie

Going to attempt this next Monday & Tuesday! Sadly the old forge is shut at the moment - was looking forward to that at the end of a big walk.
Thanks for the inspiration & GPX file :D

Re: The Cuillin - A break in the clouds

Sounds like a great few days Siobhan!! I don't know if I'm up for that scramble yet... If you had 'the fear' - I'd be a wreck.
See you soon some fearless walking :-)

Re: Cruachan 4

Haha - Glad you guys shouted when you did! Not sure how I did it after just 4 hours sleep! Was tempted to follow you all and hitch a lift to Edinburgh - especially when one of you mentioned the pub
Anyway - think you did the best 2 hills, the first 2 weren't as interesting...

Re: Cruachan 4

I think doing the 2 separate days would be fine. The Steven Fallon route is what made it hard!

Cruachan 4

Since I was only getting 1 day in the hills this trip I said to Siobhan – let’s make it a big one! So we went for Ben Cruachan, Stob Diamh, Beinn Eunaich & Beinn a Chochuill, combining 2 WH routes into 1. Apparently it’s a 8 hour 45 minute day and cracking ridges and views were promised. After a...

Fiaciall Ridge, Beinn Mheadhoin & Cairn Gorm = a big day out

For some reason I had had a bee in my bonnet for months about doing the Fiaciall Ridge. Maybe because I am trying to get into scrambling and it sounded like a good one for newbies, and maybe because I love the Cairngorms and it sounded like something a bit different up there. So I enlisted a couple ...

Re: Sgurr Thuilm & Sgurr nan Coireachan from Oban bothy??

Thanks guys! I'm relatively new to all this so I didn't even think to check the bothy situation :-( In that case I will wild camp somewhere... I am kind of munro bagging so would great if I could get them both in :D How difficult is the descent down through Pean? Is it a scramble of sorts or just no...

Sgurr Thuilm & Sgurr nan Coireachan from Oban bothy??

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows whether it's possible to do Sgurr Thuilm & Sgurr nan Coireachan from the Oban bothy and roughly how long a round trip would take? My canoe would be waiting for me on the banks of Loch Morar somewhere...

Re: Gran Paradiso in September 2015

Hi Peter, I did GP 2 weeks ago and it was a cracking end to my first weeknof alpinism. Just my tuppence worth - I'd spend at least one extra day. It's doable as per your itinerary but the area is beautiful and worth a bit of time if you can spare it. We had a great day in Courmayeur which is en rout...
