Re: Name that Loch!

Extra clue - the Munro above this lochan is one of three in this area - but the gaps between them mean that each of them is usually climbed individually. This Munro is the middle one of the three, and probably the easiest to climb. Both of the standard routes to its summit start in glens that lead d...

Re: Name that Corrie!

Extra clues
- the corrie's name does not fit with its lush, grassy appearance
- I am standing on a broad ridge between two of the higher Munros in this area
- the descending ridge on the left carries a historic drove road
- the hill in the top right of the photo is also a Munro

Re: Name that Loch!

Clue - this Lochan is one of two, which are major features of an easy, fairly popular route to a solitary Munro - which forms the background to this photo. The area round the lochans is also notable for some perched boulders.

Aha, rockhopper I think you are onto something. Could it be Coire Dubh above the Corran Ferry, with the impressive burn being Maclean’s Towel?

Re: Name that Corrie!

Could this be the corrie marked as “Coreheynan”, just west of Beinn Challum?

Re: Name that Corrie!

Bit of a wild guess, but could this be looking up Loch Duich towards Glen Shiel? In which case the corrie on the right might be Coire Toiteil, between the south Glen Shiel Ridge and Sgurr na Sgine?
