Re: Gear review - warmer baselayers

Enjoyed the reviews as usual. I have the Paramo top as well and I have never worn it smooth side in, I too, much prefer the velvety side.

Re: A Winter's Tale: Ballantrae to Lendalfoot.

I'd like to kayak over to AC one day and climb to the top. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5035/5902807470_5de91a36f7.jpg After the detour to Galston and hacking through the overgrown undergrowth to reach the walk that isn't a walk and it's fairie dell, we reached Darvel. Another out the road corner of Ayrshire. Phil and I parked up on the main street, East ...

The Colonel his Lady and the missing fairie dell

http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6048/5899815123_b57ed4fdc9.jpg It started earlier that week in July when I got a text message from my friend, Phil asking if I fancied going for a few walks in glorious Ayrshire and an over night camp somewhere. I couldn't make the over night but I could meet early on...

Re: Trail Shoes/ Trail Trainers

Having spent far too much time talking to and walking with PhilTurner  I made the change from big heavy boots, Scarpa SLs to Inov8 Roclite 315s. I haven't looked back, probably one of the best decisions I've made concerning my walking. My feet are so happy now.
