High Cademan & Warren Hills, Ivanhoe Way

Another local walking exercise, this time short and very close to home. This seems likely to be the best part at stage one, interesting terrain and skies. cademan.gpx DSCN2349.JPG DSCN2351.JPG DSCN2353.JPG DSCN2354.JPG DSCN2356.JPG DSCN2357.JPG DSCN2361.JPG DSCN2363.JPG DSCN2368.JPG DSCN2369.JPG DSC...

Walla Crag & Lodore Falls

Good walking in the wet Lakes, even some brief sun on the first sections. Enjoyed the Cat Gill route up Walla Crag and some out-of-the-way Borrowdale falls. walla.gpx DSCN2267.JPG DSCN2272.JPG DSCN2276.JPG DSCN2280.JPG DSCN2284.JPG DSCN2285.JPG DSCN2289.JPG DSCN2291.JPG DSCN2292.JPG DSCN2293.JPG DSC...

Latrigg

Gales and threatening clpuds, but enough of a dry spell for this short walk, as high as you'd dare to have been.

Veryan Bay, Gerrans Bay, South-West Coast Path

Filling in the last gaps on the south coast of Cornwall. Not the most dramatic sections but some nice beaches and decent walking under mixed skies. porthollan.gpx DSCN1601.JPG DSCN1602.JPG DSCN1604.JPG DSCN1606.JPG DSCN1612.JPG DSCN1616.JPG pendower.gpx DSCN1619.JPG DSCN1621.JPG DSCN1622.JPG DSCN162...

Badgworthy Water

Of the coast for a morning in 'Doone Country', inland Exmoor. Lovely valley but a slightly scruffy and damp return.

Porlock Weir to County Gate, South-West Coast Path

Heavily wooded Exmoor section of the Path, but pleasant walking on a good surface. The inland alternative return - through farmland high above - adds variety and a couple of good views, but generally not so good. porlock.gpx DSCN1520.JPG DSCN1529.JPG DSCN1532.JPG DSCN1536.JPG DSCN1537.JPG DSCN1539.J...

Porlock Weir to Minehead, South-West Coast Path

Gusty but very clear day at the very end of the Coast Path. Nice route (the 'rugged alternative') over green cliffs and deep combes. Detour to the small chapel ruins very steep and quite tricky. minehead.gpx DSCN1403.JPG DSCN1404.JPG DSCN1406.JPG DSCN1413.JPG DSCN1418.JPG DSCN1422.JPG DSCN1426.JPG D...

Charmouth, South-West Coast Path

Short morning filling a SWCP gap. Nice walking east of Charmouth where the coastal route (not as map) is open again; rather a trudge inland after that to Lyme.
