Re: Time Catches up with Hughie

Usual great pictures and report, JK. I have to say that report title will have given seasoned followers a little too much worry though... :( Hopefully a while to go yet.

Scarborough to Ravenscar, Cleveland Way

Grey afternoon; long walk north on field-edge cliffs of increasing height. Not a great route, but Hayburn Wyke and Ravenscar are good spots. scarboroug.gpx DSCN5085.JPG DSCN5093.JPG DSCN5095.JPG DSCN5098.JPG DSCN5103.JPG DSCN5105.JPG DSCN5106.JPG DSCN5110.JPG DSCN5112.JPG DSCN5114.JPG DSCN5117.JPG D...

Tarr Steps

Back to Exmoor on another lovely day. Ilfracombe to Mortehoe, South-West Coast Path Completion

The end of a grand adventure and - for about 5 years - a serious logistical challenge. A really good walk around a corner of north Devon (most of it visited before) and a fine finish, even if a bit of anti-climax in not knowing exactly where the final point was! Barnstaple to Croyde, South-West Coast Path

Enjoyable day (against expectations - having eked out this estuary stretch over a while and left some of it to the near-end). The Taw and Caen benefit from blue skies and a high tide, but there's little to recommend in the 3 miles through Braunton Burrows - the beach route is probably better. taw.gp...
