Garmin etrex 20

Hi - the purple line which joins waypoints - wondering whether you can set it to be on or off? Mine keeps switching between the two. Thanks

Re: Bagging islands

Forget this - it looks like it has updated, it just didn’t check the box. 👍

Bagging islands

I followed the advice given in response to a previous query regarding checking off islands bagged using the update button. Although I can now see the boxes to be checked, nothing happens when I try to do so. I’m using an iPad. Any suggestions please?

Re: Bla Bheinn with a dog

Has anyone advice about taking a dog on Bla Bheinn? She’s very fit and has had very long days in the hills, I’m just a bit concerned about the gabbro and her paws. The main route via Coire Uaigneich would be the best, I've seen a collie on that route that got to the top no problems. Via the South r...

Beinn Mheadhoin and Derry Cairngorm from Deeside

Has anyone walked the walkhighlands route for Beinn Mheadhoin and Derry Cairngorm recently? Wondering how difficult the burn crossings are, particularly across Glas Allt Mor? Thanks.

Re: The Easains in the snow

I was on those hills on Sunday too - with my wee dog. We met you on the summit of Stob a’Choire Mheadhoin. What a fantastic day, great photos!

Beinn Eighe

Is Beinn Eighe doable with a young, fit dog with 80 odd Munros to her name?

Lost camera

A long shot - climbed Cruach Ardrain and Beinn Tulaichean on Friday. Lost my Lumnix camera up there somewhere. It's most likely gubbed anyway, but thought worth a try. There were a few folk up there, would be most grateful if someone had found it.

Ben Vorlich, Arrochar

Does anyone what conditions are like on Ben Vorlich (Arrochar) at the moment, specifically how much snow and whether crampons are required? Thanks

Re: Glas Tulaichean & Carn an Righ, Spittal of Glenshee

Haha, cheers for the advice. You're right, me and the wee dug will just go for it. We've been in a few sticky situations in the past and made it through.

Glas Tulaichean & Carn an Righ, Spittal of Glenshee

Fancy this walk at the weekend but walkhighlands route description warns that the footbridge is down at Allt Ghlinn Thaitneach, and don't really fancy a long detour back to the car if river in spate. Does anyone know if the bridge has been repaired and/or if the river is likely to be too tricky to c...
