Re: On the edge of the Plateau yesterday.

Beautiful. Best we can manage is a plouter through the mudbaths that are the West Fife core paths. No-one wants to see pictures of those!

Re: Can I have a "P" please Bob - Scotland (2nd edition)

Ta. It was a toss-up between Clootie Dumpling or Conspicuous Drinking.

What links EM, LL and JK?

Clootie Dumpling can appear at Hogmanay or Burns' Night?

Re: Can I have a "P" please Bob - Scotland (2nd edition)

I think you've given a hint that it's a walking/climbing question. SM was the first climber to use a piece of equipment known as an AB? But I think the one correct word so far is Aberdeen, and I'm not au fait with climbing terms.

Yes, you've got the link. Highest point in council areas, in order of increasing height.

All three clues have been answered but what is the connection? DH in F is next.

GH in D
CB in G

First two of a finite list. More examples to be added at irregular intervals.

Re: Can I have a "P" please Bob - Scotland (2nd edition)

Are they fictional Scottish place names, based on real locations?

Callander became Tannochbrae in the Dr Finlay stories.
Tobermory became Balamory in the children's TV series
Plockton became Lochdubh in the Hamish Macbeth stories

Can't dig up any others.
