Sgiath a' Chaise

Sgiath a' Chaise from Glen Ample on a dull, overcast and muggy morning. Parked in the lay by on the A84 at Ardchullarie More and followed the sign for Glen Ample. Path is narrow and overgrown to start with, midgie territory at this time of year. Before long you join a wider surfaced track, put down ...

Re: The happiest Munro in Scotland

Tim Cracking report, really fantastic photos. Great idea to take the chairlift up to the north ridge, I did this one in November 2021 and the ascent under the chairlift was a steep one. :( Unfortunately my view of the Buachaille from the ridge was not quite as spectacular as your one. https:/...

Re: Our friend Alteknacker

I never met Allan but like a lot of people here I always enjoyed reading his reports and any comments he would make on mine.
Such a tragic loss.
He will be missed.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Re: Deer Ked countermeasures

I was up at the Black Mount munros yesterday. First time I've really experienced keds. Again they seemed to be worse between 300 and 800 metres. No bites that I can find but they are very difficult to shake off. I've used skin so soft as a midge repellent for years but it doesn't seem to deter these...

Re: Compleat at last on An Teallach. 5Ws an H (and a bit of

Keith
Really enjoyed your post, fantastic.

I had a nasty tumour removed in 2017 and like yourself built up my fitness again gradually.

I agree it makes you question your mortality and alters your priorities.

Anyway, congratulations on your achievement.

Keep up the good work.

Regards.
