Re: Pine Martins in Inverness

We live in rural Argyll and have regular pine marten visits to our bird table (they try to catch the red squirrels). I tried them on jam and peanut butter but they didn't seem that keen - what ours really like are ordinary peanuts. We have a webcam pointing at the feeding area and 90% of our sightin...

Our third and fourth Munros - fantastic day

No details of the route as we just followed the WH track (Ben Cruachan and Stob Diamh) – but it was so amazingly beautiful yesterday that I thought I would share a few pictures. This was our first ‘big’ Munro trip (we'd done Ben Lomond and Ben Vorlich before but neither were anything like as challen...

Re: Cowal Way in a Day

Well done on that - we exchanged a couple of tweets with you about whether you could get your bike over Coilessan glen and I saw your report on here when I was about to write something about the Duke's path circular. The route we took back on this one was a big mistake as it involves wal...

Hello there

I've been reading this site for a while but thought that now I've done my first trip report (Beinn Bheula) I would say hello :D My husband and I are just starting off doing some Munros/Corbetts after many years of just walking the lower level paths - and as we are fortunate enough to live in Lochgoi...

Great morning on Beinn Bheula

We live in Lochgoilhead so see this mountain out of the window every morning. We call it the 'Weather Ben' because generally when it starts to disappear under the clouds it means we will get rain very shortly afterwards (and when we can't see it, it is already raining). My husband and I recently dec...
