Re: How did you do in 2015?

In 2015 I kind of lost interest in counting hills. 9 or 10 new munros, a number or old munros and a few other hills. To mix it up a bit I got on my bicycle and cycled between the compass point munros (and walked up them obviously). Tremendous fun - especially when combined with drinking a fair quant...

Re: Sgurr Dubh Mor, journeys end at 281

I'm not on here often so I missed this until now. A terrific read and, as others have said, a lump in the throat read. I've has the pleasure of meeting you on a couple of occassions - dug searching as opposed to bagging duties. Back then we had a similar Munro tally - before I got distracted by the ...

Re: Donich always be the last place you look...

All I remember is the very fine pint afterwards and there being a dug involved - oh, and a mad guy on a rope. Mostly the beer though. :-)

Re: Does Scotland let itself down ?

I stayed in a place near Little Loch Broom at the weekend. It was hellish. The sleeping accommodation was cramped and covered in dug hair. The wine was served in a plastic cup and it was pretty cold. I won't even mention the toilet facilities. It was my own van I was in but it was a poor reflection ...

Re: More than just Mountains/Hills

I will watch every minute - unless it's a Saturday and I'm on a hill. In the past, I regret to admit, I have been in the ABE camp. This year I will buy an England strip and flag and hope that they bring home the trophy.........................................that's would, at least, result in a 10% s...

Conival and Ben More Assynt

Colin, Jim, Scott.
Weather OK. Showery but clear until second summit.
Colin injured on way back hence silly time.
Braw braw walk with stunning views.
Note - never go back to the Inchnadamph Hotel. Properly awful.
