I’m using Topo GPS very happy with it a good replacement for ViewRanger, I looked at Outdooractive but I found it to cluttered and not reliable.

This is the reply I got from ViewRanger; ViewRanger is now part of Outdooractive and ViewRanger is no longer selling new subscriptions. Any existing VR subscripting will be honoured until it expires in 2021. Outdooractive works on a subscription basis. When connect your ViewRanger account to Outdoor...

If you have the OS subscription you can download the whole of the UK. No need to purchase tiles.

I've only ever used WH gpx routes on Viewranger without any issues. Bit long winded having to upload the route onto your Viewranger account on a computer then sync Viewranger on your phone to get the route but it works. I recommend Peter Fletcher from Arnisdale 01599 235007 used his service on the 22nd June 2017 to get from Arnisdale to Kinloch Hourn so I could walk part of the Old Drove Road back to Corran. Very helpful and a mine of local information, £60 and worth every penny.
