Re: Our friend Alteknacker

Such sad and tragic news. My thoughts are with Allan's family and friends at this extremely difficult time. He will be missed terribly on Walkhighlands. I thoroughly enjoyed reading his walk reports.

Re: The not quite but almost naked rambler

Living in Falkirk the Ochils are my local hills. I've been up Innerdownie etc many times but never been graced with such a sight as you got today Graeme  So we have a naked rambler amongst us. Wonder if he went to the Tormaukin Inn afterwards for a drink

Re: Munro Round Compleat in Knoydart (plus flying pigs)

Well done on your completion and a good choice of area to finish it. I'm sure you may well redo some of your favourite Munros at some point. In the meantime it's on to the Corbetts.

Re: Waking up above the clouds in West Monar

Nice report. The area does look very remote. Don't get many remote areas nowadays. You are getting closer to your completion.

Re: West Highland Way in Fabulous Weather

What an awe-inspiring report. Fantastic weather you had to saviour the walk. You are truly an inspiration (as was 'R' too). Hope to see more of your walks and adventures on here. Well done for getting the photos on the WW Editors pick.

Re: Meall na Leitreach - small hill, big view

Hi Tim,

You got reasonable weather for this. A nice shorter hill to do. I am taking a note of this one as it may be ideal for me if l am up to it in June. Not too taxing and good views from the summit.

Thanks for sharing.

Hope you enjoyed your Easter break in Scotland.

Re: Snowy Cairngorm Giants from The Rounded Hill of the Shep

Lovely report Anne and very atmospheric photos. A beautiful circuit to do on route to visiting your son and daughter- in-law. Glad to hear you are feeling better following having Covid. Shame you missed out on a stopover at Gloagburn Farm. Myself and a friend enjoyed our lunch there a few years ago ...

Re: Amazing scenes on the "Hill of the View"

Hi Tim, Lovely report and photos. I think l may have walked up a small part of this hill many years ago when l was probably about 8-10 years old. My grandad actually had a holiday home in a field roughly in the area at the start of your walk. We used to spend many holidays there. It's been long sinc...

Re: Stùc a' Chròin from the south east - a brilliant route!

Tim,

Enjoyed your well detailed report and lovely photos. I climbed it many years ago by the "usual route" combined with Ben Vorlich.

Hopefully when I'm able to go up the hills once again l will certainly consider the route you did if l ever decide to climb it again.

Re: Walking While "ill"

I truly concur and echo the words of many on here. Not much more l can add. The Ochils are my local hills living in Falkirk. I have walked up Innerdownie and Tarmangie many times and also the others from Glendevon. I've had lovely days but the icing on the cake would have been to meet you and Roger ...

A very interesting and different from the normal walk report. You still manage to take good photos as usual. I agree with another on here suggesting walk report of the month!!
