Upstream

If you have not seen this on BBC iPlayer I suggest you do. I really liked it, interested to know what others think. From BBC site: Upstream is a new film by the writer Robert Macfarlane and the director Rob Petit. The film, which is shot entirely from the air, follows the course of the River Dee in ...

Re: Camping near Loch Coire nan Dearcag lochans (Affric)

Thanks for the comment.
Likely I will do that.
Don't want to have a hike too far to water which was the rationale for this area.

Camping near Loch Coire nan Dearcag lochans (Affric)

Hi, Planning on the 6 western Affric Munros this weekend and thinking of walking east to west and ending day 1 by camping in the hollow around the Loch Coire nan Dearcag lochans, the shortcut below Sgurr na Ceathreamhnan. Re: AN Teallach - Glas Tholl descent

Thanks for all the responses and link to the reports.
These have helped considerably.
Look forward to this and hopefully a good day for it (a little better than Giant Stoneaters would be ideal)

Malcy,
Could not see on map or satellite if there was a path.

Thanks for the response.

AN Teallach - Glas Tholl descent

Hi,
Planning on An Teallach in the next week or so and looking to drop down into Glas Tholl to save some distance on the road at the end of the day.
Does anybody have experience of this and any images to share?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Ullapool pub grub

I would suggest the Ceilidh Place. You would need to book in the season but I would expect it to be quieter now. On occasion they have some musicians, good beers too.
