I have a Tarp tent Scarp 1 (2016). There's no doubt it can stand up to winter conditions - even without the supporting exoskeleton poles its very secure and withstands strong winds with no problem. It weighs around 1.6kg and is very well designed and simple to set up and take down. I'm very pleased ...

Thanks for the thoughts, all. It's pretty much the conclusion that I had come to - it'll probably be ok but wait and see and have a backup route! Just glad no one thinks it'll be totally impossible :wink:

Hey I'm planning a very similar trip to yours at that exact time. In fact our days 1-4 as planned are almost identical. I'm afraid I can't help with your question, but I was wondering if you had an idea of the expected snow conditions at that time? I don't expect my group to have any winter mountain...
