A first on Ben Donich

My wife decided that she'd like to see what joys the hills have to offer. Her last foray was about 20 years ago into the lost valley. So with the kids getting looked after for a coupe of hours i decided to choose something that was 1. relatively close to Glasgow. 2. Relatively short due to time cons...

Beinn a'Bheithir

A fine walk up Beinn a'Bheithir and its 2 Munros. A difficult, pathless start from ballachulish soon led to a defined path to the summits. The mountain seemed to split the weather with low cloud and rain in Glencoe to the East and sunshine to the West. Great views to the South and West as far as the...

Re: The Cobbler

Chris Mac wrote:Superb! Love the drone footage and fly-bys. One arc shot focused on the summit shows more angles than 100 photos could and what a summit it is. Glad you got good conditions for it, nice one!

thanks Chris. quite enjoy the different views you get from the drone

The Cobbler

Lovely day yesterday so decided on a late afternoon walk up Ben Arthur. Left the car park at Succoth around 3.30 and arrived back just before 8pm. Weather was perfect all day with just a welcome slight breeze at the summit. Drone footage from summit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU8gn2D8IUQ Ben L...

nice walk up this morning. just a pity that the deforestation is so vast that it slightly spoils the walk. Took along the drone to get some footage.

Ben Lomond - first one in years

Decided to start getting outdoors again as part of my fitness drive having lost 3 1/2 stone since the new year. Took the opportunity to climb Ben Lomond on Saturday. A dull, grey morning on the way up eventually led to blue skies, an inversion and a glorious morning on the summit. The start of many ...
