Glenashdale Falls, Iron Age Fort ruin and the Giant's Grave

Beautiful weather for my holiday to arran this year, only one wet day! :) which made a rather pleasant surprise. Nice wee views, and I've always wanted to know what was on top of the wee hill there, decided to take my daughter up for a stroll after visiting inverarray jail (highly recommend) just be sure to get your 4 stamps on your parole certificate to ensure you can get out... Thanks very much Johnny, dissapointed that most of the snow is gone, was hoping for a nice wee glissade down Ben Chaluim (approx 500m + possible with enough compacted snow) straight down. At least the roads clear thou hate driving on ice.. :)

theres the glasgow hill walkers club.. which has midweek and weekend walks, depending on which area/hills your interested in walking .. I might be up for keeping you some company but resticted to late start sundays or mon/tues in general.. :)

or you go down the route of setting targets time... aka hill routes :) The record is just over 3 hours for this road... HARD going, i've done this route which took me the best part of a day the record for females is just overr 4 hours... Mabye better setting challenge such as 50 munro's over a week ...

I'm stuck with a cheap £40 one for the hills, I also have a canon slr however its old and too heavy to carry about the place.

Maybe I mis-understood what the poster said - but I thought he put everything route, times etc face down so that nobody could see them? That's what I do. excellent views in Glenrothes's post.

however it can be so much more rewarding and a great sense of acheivement making it to the top in bad conditions... I wouldn't be too put off by the weather :)
