Hi I was one of the other walkers you met was a good day and the first outing for us for a while, bikers an hill walkers seem to have a something in common i will be posting some reports from a trip to Skye last year soon so check them out if you get a chance.

Yes I use paramo gear all the year round after having tried most other materials over the years and can't recommend it highly enough.Never let me down yet :)

Hi there a layering system like you employ for the rest of your gear usually works well for instance a thin lining glove covered with a mitten to allow fingers to share warmth and the an over mitt (which would be your outer shell ) which covers the sleeve of the jacket a good 5" providing there...
