we had conditions like that the day we climbed am bastier, it makes for an interesting day out but doesnt half knacker the photo taking opportunities :lol:

personally, i wouldnt take my dog , theres to much chance of injury.. my boots took a good beating on the way down, i dread to think what the scree would do to a dogs paws.

i've done both as well, and the speyside way just edges it, plus there a section of the walk you can include or bypass depending on how you feel

I think the problem sometimes on sites is when some established members think they own the place i had problems like that on a forum(motorbike) where im part of the admin team and the behaviour of some of the members was nothing short of childish and there were more than a few bannings, i was sorry...
