Thanks for the report. I'm thinking of these 2 as my last 2 Wainwrights (only 7 to go) and that route is definitely favoured as there's nowhere to fall off once I've had my celebratory champagne (provided I don't turn left off the top of Illgill Head!) - I'll try and avoid the field with the pig tho...

The trig on Gragareth is in Lancashire. It's our only Hewitt - please don't take it away from us! I haven't actually done it though... You're talking post-1974 boundaries. If you use the pre-1974, historic boundaries, the high point of Lancashire is the Old Man of Coniston. And as I was born pre-19...

I did Whinlatter from Lords Seat and back today. I was doing the 6 W's from Wythop Mill - Ling Fell, Greystones, Broom Fell, Lords Seat, Barf and Sale Fell.
