I fought the Law

Well , fought the bogs and swamps and peat hags etc etc etc and the almost won!!! Wet route today. Think of a wet sponge and at times that wet fping is under water. Steep start - again

Parked at the wee layby just past the mast and headed up the ridiculous steep start of Herman law!!! 20240216_082810.jpg 20240216_085523.jpg It eventually eased off to " just steep" Follow the fence upto the high point - Herman law with good views looking back and across to the White Coomb...

Wet Cairnsmore of Carsphaim

Cairnsmore of Carsphaim today. Waterproofs went on in the car. Had planned on a circuit including Beninner, then I thought I'll go to Beninner and back to Cairnsmore of Carsphaim - but the miserable rain, swamp and "river path " and no views meant - just get back down after the 1st summit....

Wet soggy duncolm

Had planned to go down to moffat again for the white coomb circuit. Woke up and the sound of the wind and rain put me off. Decided to go up loch humphrey and Duncolm again. Helm crag

Windy and pouring in Down. Up about half 6 and was all packed and ready to go home. I was also ready to go on the hill. Sat about till quarter to 9 and decided to go up Helm crag from YH. Tough wee day. Drive down to Stickle tarn car park, and didnt set off till about quarter to 10.
