...I also prefer the security of handling a rigid walking pole :shock: ....currently using the Black Diamond Trail....I feel more confident knowing that when I plant the pole down onto the ground that it will give me exactly the support that I'm looking for....I guess it's a personal choice thing....

....myself and a mate are considering this walk for next weekend....the previous reports for this walk both mentioned waist high water crossings....did you manage to avoid the same fate ???
