My Jack Russel did it a few years ago without a problem (in fact, we left her lead at Conival Summit, we think)

Re: Mullardoch Round

Excellent Rec, many thanks for posting. Having been planning to do exactly the same with a fellow Walkhighlander for some time. Did you manage much running between the tops or was it a case of kind of fast hiking? Did you take all your water/ or did you top up from streams etc.?

Re: Scottish tourism could reopen on July 15th

But, surely, if that Hotel has employed the required standards of hygiene and cleaning that are required, i.e. all touch points and surfaces wiped down, all linen and laundry changed, then that Room will be "clean" when you stay in it? and therefore, your chances of catching it and transm...

Re: Scottish tourism could reopen on July 15th

Think about it this way, do you like the idea of spending a night in a nice walkers hotel? Same question with more detail: do you like the idea of spending a night in a nice walkers hotel if the people who previously used your room were asymptomatic Covid-19 carriers? Again, and, further: do you li...

Re: New Coronavirus Law

I'm beginning to wonder if the story is even true and has possibly been put out there to deter folk from taking to the hills. It does not seen to make sense. Who made the call? If not them, who? and where were they? Were they in difficulty? were they lost? what is inappropriate gear on a sunny dry d...

Some great birds about at the moment and making the most of the opportunity and weather to walk / run, MTB all the local footpaths from my door. Current list includes a pai...

Re: Painted rocks (posted by a grumpy old woman?)

I think the word "old" in the title tells a tale. C'mon, it really is not a big deal!!!. Its the modern day equivalent of a message in a bottle. Its just a bit of fun. ( Maybe add it to the job description of the Hill Police. No stone piles, no painted rocks, no dogs, no constructed footpa...

Re: White Mounth Munros - Drinking water

Did the same round in summer a couple of years ago and cannot recall seeing any water sources once up high. Also, saw loads of hares, deer, plovers etc.
