I did this route in august, the crossings were only mid calf deep at about 8am after very heavy rain the evening and night before. May be different in October, but it was very heavy rain for 14hrs before i crossed. It is a good walk but the section from white bridge to the bothy is hard going due to...

If you can't do that sounds like your problem is you bought a house adjoining a shared access?

As the Bankell farm campsite is closed from 30 April does anyone have any suggestions for alternative camping sites, or wild camping locations near the start of the WHW?

A downside of doing the sub 2000s is that a lot are trackless, so bashing through high vegetation at this time of year is standard. Most ticks in any year was 14.
