Re: What money can't buy- Beinn Sgritheall

ML, the views you got were sensational. Beautiful photos on an absolutely stunning day to be out. Well jealous. If I won the lottery i'd retire and live there it looks so nice. Ladhar Bheinn for your compleation would be a cracker and at the rate your going that won't be far away.

Re: He everybody

Hi Martin,

Welcome to WH. Not sure where you are but guess it's Glasgow area, so Ben Lomond is an obvious suggestion. Pick a clear day and views are stunning. Unfortunately not when I was there last year, rain and cloud no views. Paths all the way to top.

Cheers and enjoy your wandering.

Re: Hello to everyone

Definitely Skye, Dunvegan Castle worth a visit and the Island has some great walks and scenery. Old man of Storr, Trotternish Ridge for a start. Also as you are going to visit Eilean Donan Castle you are only a few miles from there to the Skye Bridge. Just before Eilean Donan you pass through Glensh...

Re: Sail Mhor and the tumbling cascades of Ardessie

We were on that road in October last year. Wish i'd known about those falls then, they look amazing and I would also be happy to spend hours bumbling around the falls. We stopped just along the road at Maggies tea room Camusnagaul. Good excuse to go back there, spend time at the falls and coffee and...

Re: Looking for recommendations

Hi again Steph, look at Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers on Loch Tay. Good path and easy with dog. We went up Beinn Ghlas with our border collie. Unfortunately didn't carry on to Ben Lawers as by the time we got to BG summit we were in clouds and it was chucking it down. Alternatively from the same area T...

Re: Walk up to the bothy at Loch a Bhraoin

Re: Maol Chinn-Dearg Its all Snow Beautiful

Great report and love the pics. Having been on ridge nearly 30 years ago from Cluanie end and coming off after Aonach Air Crith, due to getting cooked by baking sun, this would make a brill attack at the rest of the ridge. Never really thought of getting onto MCD this way. Always assumed I would hav...
