Firstly if your carrying too much weight, lose it, I lost over 2 stone Nov to Feb by healthy vegan eatingIf your not overweight skip that bit ...

Re: New Coronavirus Law

All this nonsense is now only been followed a minority. I don't know anybody who is not breaking the guidelines ranging from slight bending to complete disregard. Even my mum who is in late seventies and is normally a stickler is bending them. In 4 weeks you can go on holiday, travel where you like ...

Re: Stay at home

Social distancing is 100% over in Glasgow. Walked the dog in Kelvin Park. Thousands of people. Hoaching. Large groups. Huge groups. Intermingling groups. It's the busiest & most densely packed I've ever seen it. I guess this is what happens when you "slightly" reduce the lockdown meas...

Re: Stay at home

Doubt very much if the people in tourist areas don't won't people in there areas.
There income has totally dried up and accommodation providers in Scotland have been treated shabbily with financial help compared with those in England.

Re: Stay at home

Seems pretty clear to me.
I can't drive 40minutes to walk a hill in scotland but if you live in England you can drive to walk the same hill.

Fuming.

Re: Nae path fae Mullach

Did this walk on Saturday. The description of the return route in the circular walk. Well engineered and slightly overgrown. severely overgrown, narrow , slippy and completely disappears in a jungle at one point when traversing through the woodland. At that point my wife threw a wobbler and c...

Re: Looking for non-vertiginous hills for hubby with vertigo

Hi Fiona. Has your husband seen a doctor to diagnose what type of vertigo he has?[/quote] Errrrr...... no! I don't think either of us thought it might be something that could be helped at all by a doctor... it only happens at the top of high steep hills and places like the Scott Monument in Edinburg...

Re: Steall falls wire bridge

Anybody ever fallen off this bridge or seen anyone fall. I saw a bloke fall off it, while wearing a large heavy rucksack. He landed on his back, on the shingle as the river was low. he had his arms and legs sticking up in the air, and looked like a tortoise which had become inverted. Laugh? I nearl...

Re: An Cladach to be closed due to Bothy Bible

Bourach

Why has the bothy been closed only over winter , surely the nuisance parking peaks in the summer.

Can you shed some light on the reason for winter rather than summer closure.

Re: An Cladach to be closed due to Bothy Bible

Well that was an entertaining read. Ronnie really doesn't like Geoff, was it because of his entrepreneurial nous, perhaps a childhood grudge , did Geoff refuse to sign Ronnies copy of the book.Seems pretty personal anyway. The man wrote a well written book and made one small error in it. Get ...
