Starlings Murmuration at Gretna

I was staying in Gretna this weekend, hoping to catch sight of the starlings Murmuration, but l wasn't sure where was the best place to see them (web search gave a choice of between the entrance to the outlet shopping centre and the police station, a few minutes' walk away, or Rigg, a village a coup...

I enjoyed reading your report despite the rain 8) . I did the Rob Roy Way at Easter but you took a lot more photos than me (enjoyed looking back at the things I had forgotten 'cause I didn't snap them at the time myself).

You are having a lot of luck photographing kingfishers nowadays, Andy 8) . I have also seen a kingfisher around that spot in Lochwinnoch before :D

Thanks for posting. Quite fancy the Rob Roy Way and your pics make it look really good. Shame about the blisters, doesn't seem to matter how comfy the boots are once you start covering a decent number of miles on consecutive days.
