Re: Disabled person looking some gear advice please ?

Hi Lucozade, sorry to hear about your condition. As my wife also has a little handicap and is therefore also limited in her ability to walk, what kind of outdoor scooter do you have? We like to go out in the nature as well, but so far did not find suitable gear, as most wheelchairs, sccoot mobiles e...

Re: Coire Riabhach

Considering going from loch coruisk to harta and lota coire via coire riabhach instead of the normal route north through glen sligachan. Does anyone know what the terrain of coire riabhach is like? The main reason for going this way is because it appears a shorter distance than via the bloody stone...

Sligachan Circuit over Cuillin, 25 October 2017

Hello, I'm planning to do the following walk on 25 October 2017: Sligochan hotel - Coire na Creiche - Bealach na Glaic Moire - Loch Coruisk - Glen Sligachan - Sligochan hotel, total 16 miles. On the 1:25,000 OS map there is a path, sources here are mixed on the difficulty of the route. As this is ch...

Re: Skye trail - need advice

Thanks. I'm planning to walk in the other direction: from Coire na Creiche to Loch Coruisk. Would that be easier route finding?

Re: Skye trail - need advice

Yes what you suggest is possible. From Sligachan walk South West to Bealach a Mhaim then contour South into Coire na Creiche ascending Coire a Mhadaidh and crossing the ridge at Beallach na Glaic Moire down to Loch Coruisk. This route has no scrambling or climbing but with all routes to the Cuillin...

Re: Is it possible to hike from Sgurr na Stri to the Fairy P

Thanks for the quick replies! Any other suggestions for a circular walk between 15 and 20 miles starting at the Sligochan Hotel? Most walks I see in guide books and on the net require to walk back the same route you came, and that does not rally appeal me.

Re: Is it possible to hike from Sgurr na Stri to the Fairy P

Hello, I’m planning to do roughly the same route in 1.5 weeks time, so would appreciate any update on this. I’m not an experienced hill walker or mountaineer, although long distances (up to 25 miles a day) are not a problem. Would this route than be recommended?
