Re: Canine hillgoers.
And here's Maggie, another runt of the litter but one who has managed 18 munros. IMG_9364.JPG IMG_9166.JPG Likes: bounding through heather (even though it almost engulfs her), saying hello to anyone on the hills, being the centre of attention, and getting a wee carry at the end of a long route. Disl...

Re: Kinpurney Hill and Monument
Loving all these reports of little known Angus hills.
I'm orignally a Coupar Angus lad and spent many years looking up at the monument on this hill from afar - looks like a good use of an hour or two!

Re: Bare foot hiking & slippery nipples in the south Cairmgo
A treat to read as always ML! Your comments on the cliff edge ring true with me - when we climbed Lochnagar I couldn't believe how many people stayed on the path all the way to the top and completely missed the dramatic cliffs and gullies just a short walk to the side!!! Each to their own I guess, b...

Re: Toddun and a visit to Lewis
Excellent report - great pics and very detailed description. I've often admired the shape of Toddun and my next visit to the isles to visit the in laws in September might see me attempt this route. Many thanks for sharing!

Walking above the clouds in Glen Lyon
Time to submit another (somewhat tardy) TR for a walk that already has its fair share of accounts, so I won’t prattle as much as I often do. Another weekend of fair weather and, perhaps even more amazingly, another weekend where Becca not only did not have to be coerced or bribed into joinin...

Re: Feeling The Heat Atop Beautiful Glen Tilt
Becca and I had the luxury of a sunny weekend off together and agreed on a fifty-fifty split of sharing each other’s outdoor interests – I could get Becca to join me for a hillwalk on the Saturday as long as I took her to a beach on the Sunday. I like your thinking.......'good weather forecast for ...

Re: Angus, Adders and Allison restored
Fantastic pics - I've a huge soft spot for these hills so I'm glad to see they won you over. Definately a case of where the walk in is far more of an event than the peaks themselves though.

Feeling The Heat Atop Beautiful Glen Tilt
I’ll attempt to apply a modicum of brevity to this TR, since there are already a number of reports for this particular route to choose from. Becca and I had the luxury of a sunny weekend off together and agreed on a fifty-fifty split of sharing each other’s outdoor interests – I could get Becca to j...

Re: Lochnagar from the N, The Stuic, Conachcraig & then some
Excellent stuff Malky. A man after my own heart - when doing Lochnagar last summer I couldn't understand why so many people stuck religiously to the summit path, rather than clicking to the cliffs for those stunning views. :o Looks like it was well worth the detour for the view of Creag an Dubh and ...

Re: Game, Set, Match, Buachaille Etive Beag!
Greta stuff SL - I was well impressed with the wee bookil a few weeks back. BEM might be the more popular option, but I thought the ridge along to Stob Dubh was just magic. and like you, the big Bidean just looks far too tempting now!

Re: Derry but non-dairy Cairngorm and friends
Great report and stunning pics. I'm desperate to get into the Cairngorms, but if you think the two hours from Inverness is bad, try reaching any munros from Edinburgh!
