Well done for keeping going.I did the same thing with water when I did my first solo munro too, and the strap broke on my pole so I can sympathise.Makes you appreciate them when you do have them!

Great effort Gary, I still haven't done these 5 in one go and its on my doorstep (its just too damn far for me :shock: ) don't know if I will get back to that level of ability either, best I can do is about 15 miles at present. Great effort Gary, good decision to keep going - often taking a moment to gather yourself is the best thing to do. Some nice pics even with the clag rolling in and out.
