Re: The Torridon magic

That looks a good single route for the shorter days now. Good to see you over your bug and back on the hills

Re: Creag Meagaidh circuit

Frrrrosty! I like that! The landscape looks so fresh, almost crunchy! It's been a while since we visited this trio, 2010 I think it was, a hot summer day... I'm hoping to do it again with snow on the ridge, early spring possibly. I remember we went up the window and to Megi first, then over t...

Re: Stob Ban & Mullach nan Coirean

We also followed a path to that rock face and wondered why WH hadn't mentioned it. Found out later it was because we'd missed the turn off to the left which would have avoided it. Enjoyed your photos - what a day you got! :D Seems to be an easy thing to do there as paths go off in every dire...

Re: Into The Mamores - Stob Ban & Mullach nan Coirean

I done these on Sunday. I have an almost carbon copy report (unpublished) The weather, stags even similar picture descriptions. It's a decent day out. That boggy bit at the end caught me by surprise. I wore shorts and got covered in stinky mud  I've just been checking out your report, i...

Re: All hills map

With the 'All Hills' map ... I've just noticed an edge-case for Windy Gyle. I have climbed Windy Gyle and have a blue balloon on the Donald's map. However, on the 'All Hills' map it is shown in red. It also appears as unclimbed on the 'Hewitt's Page'. Ticking of other Donald's also marks them as cli...

Re: A bog, a burn and a bird, a loop in Glen Artney

I enjoyed that. I'll need to remember this area and route. Ideal when the tops are in clag.

Re: Creag Meagaidh circuit

That does look a chilly morning frost but cracking weather, views, photos. Been round Coire Ardair but didn't quite manage the close up views I wanted because of the cornices so will have to make a return visit. P.S. Do you have a car you can stretch out in to sleep or were you squashed up in a bal...

Re: Cairnsmore of Carsphairn

Last night I read some reports on this hill and I think it was Pete R who mentioned a cow s*@% issue, I can confirm that all is well and the track is clear  I didn't write a report when I did this hill, only a blog report - but I CAN concur with PeteR. On the way back, passing a barn and cow h...

Re: Corserine and Pals

Loved the story Caberfeidh but as it was you (no offence intended) I had to check a few websites to see if you were on the wind-up.......... turns out you weren't. No offence? NO OFFENCE ??? Ooooh, none taken I'm sure... I'll have you know I'm as honest as the day is long. ( The longer the daylight...

Re: Merrick - The Tourist Route

That's a very busy car park! Great set of photographs of a cracking hill. Looks like you had a good day for it. Merrick is one of my favorites down that way. I remember when we did this route, the section through the forestry was closed due to downed trees and we had do divert around to the left, fo...
