Re: Windy Standard & Alhang

Good to see these hills on a clear day, you got much better weather than I did here. Although the ground conditions don't seem to have changed much!

Into The Mamores - Stob Ban & Mullach nan Coirean

A late change of plans saw my alarm going off at 5:30am on Sunday morning and heading up the A82 to Fort William and Glen Nevis. There was more traffic about than I would have expected at that time on a Sunday morning, but it was an otherwise uneventful drive up. I was passing through Glencoe as daw...

Creag Meagaidh circuit

CreagMeagaidhCircuit.gpx Parked up at the Creag Meagaidh Nature reserve car park at 10pm. Usual routine of back seats down, sleeping mat and sleeping bag laid out with my Kindle books keeping me going until sleep. It was a very still, clear night and the stars were amazing to see. I woke at 6am wit...

Re: Another 4 Donalds a different way

Agreed that this is a good area to walk. I did almost the same route in July, but clockwise. The weather looks to have held up better for you than it did for me, I got a proper soaking! Looking back through my pictures I realised I hadn't finished the public report. Now fixed and you really didn't m...

Re: Creag Meaghaidh Circuit

I'm hoping to to do this round soon, nice to see some of it beforehand! It's amazing how breaking clag emphasises the landscape being revealed.

Re: The south-east campaign: Meall Ghaordaidh and sidekick

Congrats to Kevin on the Corbett halfway mark  . Well worth braving the wind to tag on the extra hill.

I did the traditional winter route of straight up and down Meall Ghaordaidh, but your circular route over the 2 hills looks much more interesting.

Thanks! It would need a proper emergency to make use that shelter. It looked a bit too cozy for two and well used by the local ptarmigan for their, erm ... business :(

Re: Sgor Gaoith & Mullach Clach a'Bhlair

Did this a couple of years ago in the opposite direction and had a great day (the only time I've ever seen a cuckoo) - the views down to Loch Eanaich (from the top of Sgor Gaoith) are brilliant and you were fortunate the cloud had lifted for you to get some great shots. I'm left asking myself - how...
