Re: Morrone - First Corbett Complete!

Well done Sean, good for you.... :D I am afraid you may well have the bug now... Its a good bug though, they say good bugs are good for you. You were a bit lucky, I passed Morrone today late afternoon, and the weather had turned very horrible.... Re: Colt Hill & an Arch & Wether Hill & some Turbines

Nice report JC. Not sure what to make of the arches, havent done the circuit, but have done Colt Hill, and saw the house with half an arch through it... They sure do make good points of identification down that way.... :D

Re: Meikle Bin and a mickle bit more

Well done you, good choice. I like this hill, I reckon on a very clear day it has a shout on being in our top ten viewpoints.... well certainly one of the finest in the central belt...

Re: Mountain visible from the M74

Well as I say, when this came up on the other forum, I started noticing it more and more on the journey north, very distinctive.... And having climbed it, I can vouch for its credentials as a viewpoint.... Amazing... 8) You can see Ailsa Craig and the Bass Rock from Meikle Bin, not many places can c...

Re: Mountain visible from the M74

It might well be Meikle Bin you are seeing, it is straight in front of you on that section on the road and appears very pointy, almost sticking up like a thumbs up... Someone asked this very question on another forum with a photo, and it turned out to be Meikle Bin..
